We believe in doing the right thing. We are committed to building a business that improves the world around us. How do we do this? We trace everything back to the source and assess the social and environmental impacts each step of the way. If we emit carbon, we capture it. If we produce plastic, we only produce plastic made from recycled materials. Then we pull over five times that amount of plastic from the ocean. We are a Certified B Corp™ and legally structured as a Benefit Corporation. This empowers us to put people over profits.
Our new primary packaging is made from 100% post consumer recycled plastic. We take existing trash and turn it into a safe, elegant solution. Our ultimate goal is to have a closed loop system that reduces the existing amount of plastic waste, requires little energy and won’t require additional natural inputs.
We ditched the secondary packaging. Sure, that nice glossy carton added a feel of luxury but you know what else is luxurious? Not living on a dead planet. Jokes aside, we looked at everything that went into making those cartons – from cutting down the trees to the carbon emissions and energy consumption throughout the supply chain – and decided it wasn’t worth it.
We are fortunate enough to work with some of the world’s finest cosmetic ingredient suppliers. All of our ingredients are responsibly sourced and incredibly pure. But we can do better.
Our goal is to provide full transparency from soil to skin and only use natural ingredients that are grown using regenerative organic agriculture.
Carbon neutral shipping. We employ artificial intelligence (AI) that calculates the total distance your order travels from us to you, factors in carbon emissions of shipping vehicles and traffic delays. It then calculates the total carbon emitted and doubles it (just to be safe) we then automatically invest in capturing that carbon.
Our carbon neutral shipping program is actively funding Pachama's Jari Para Forest Conservation Project in the Amazon Rainforest. This project is on the front lines of deforestation and is combating clear-cutting practices within the Amazon's Jari Para Forest.
